Bangalore India
I am Attaché for Science & Technology at the French Embassy in India, based in the Indian science capital Bangalore. I have a Master’s in Biochemistry from Imperial College London and a PhD from Cambridge University. My research was focused on protein engineering at Torino University in Italy and on chromatin structure and epigenetics at Cambridge University. I turned to a career in science policy and management, working as a Scientific Officer at the European Commission, and then Knowledge Manager at Institut Curie for a European Network of Excellence, EpiGeneSys. I worked at the French Research Agency, ANR, for three and a half years, as Scientific Coordinator of the Biology & Health department, where I set-up many bilateral and multilateral research programs, including coordinating the submission and negotiation of a large European programme in nanomedicine with 21 partners. I joined as Science Attaché in India in September 2012. I am enjoying discovering Incredible India: the people, culture, food, and natural beauty. I love the nature and wildlife here, having spent a few weekends in national parks where we spotted wild elephants, tigers, leopards, bears and dhole. :)
