I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I lived for 3 days in Juiz de Fora, a small city in Minas Gerais, Brazil when I was a child, but I grew up in Rio. I love my city, my country, and my culture.

I guess I have always wanted to be a teacher. I remember spending hours "teaching" my dolls and stuff animals when I was a kid. Going to school was one of my favorite moments of the day. I loved it even more when I started learning English. Thus, I became an English teacher. It was my first job and only one.

Much of my pleasure of learning English came form the possibility of understanding songs, books and movies. Songs have always been part of me, specially U2's. I am a rock fan and a huge U2 fan. I also like reading a lot, mainly in English. I'm always reading a book or listening to audiobooks. Going to the movies is one of my favorite movies. Sci-fi, fantasy, and romance are my favorite kinds of books and movies.

About ten years ago I started teaching Portuguese for foreingners too. This became another passion. I really learned alot about language learning, learning teaching, poeple, cultures, countries and even about my own people, country and culture.

I have a nice family. I'm married and have a 13-year-old daughter and two kittens. We live in a apartment in the North of the city, not so close to the beach. However, going to the beach is one of our family things.

I'm a very serious, hardworking educator. I have groups of young learners, adolescents, adults and teachers. I have years of expereince,but I know there is always room for improvement. I think a teacher needs to be in constant development. I have a master degree in Applied Linguistc and I am very interested in learning more about material design. I love what I do and I do my best.
