Claudia L Stedge

Claudia L. Stedge is a highly talented administrator who has spent the last 20 years plus working with young children with disabilities and their families. Her latest endeavor has been as the owner and operator of Family and Educational Consultants LLC DBA Partnership For Education (“Partnership”).

Since the beginning, Ms. Stedge has been the principle conductor of the philosophy and business practices that guide the program. The program runs on the belief that providers of services should work in partnership with the families and caregivers of the child, and in partnership with other professionals the child encounters to ensure the best services. Partnership believes that services should encompass the newest research on brain development and its direct implications for how children with disabilities learn and how to help mitigate their disabilities. Ms. Stedge strives to provide the best educational opportunities and mentoring to all throughout the program.

In the last five years as changes have occurred in the two state agencies that oversee the agency, Ms. Stedge has navigated Partnership through the changing environment and set the trajectory so that the agency can continues to grow and thrive. She has prepared for the changes with creative problem solving and innovative programing. During this time, Ms. Stedge has managed to keep the turnover of the personnel low in this industry where it typically high due to lack of support and recognition. Ms. Stedge has proven to be a skilled and empathetic manager who understands how to communicate concern while articulating ideas and concepts to others effectively.

In 2008, Ms. Stedge expanded and began a new endeavor, County Acres Child Resources, providing services to children with disabilities in a school setting. The model through New York State Education Department provides an integrated setting for children with disabilities and their neurotypical peers. Ms. Stedge worked to provide a cutting edge program where all children would learn and soar. Due to the financial difficulties, Ms. Stedge chose to close the program in the spring of 2014 to avoid compromising the effectiveness of the program.

Ms. Stedge has a MS in Social Work from Columbia Universtiy and a MS in Education From Bank Street College of Education. She is a Licensed Social Worker and has permanent certifications in Special Education, School Administrator/Supervisor and Nursery, Kindergarten and 1-6 gra
