Tyler Claxton

Hey guys! My name is Tyer, as you can see, and I'm a student at UGA, majoring in Environmental Engineering. I hail from good ole' Perry, GA where I attended Perry High School. I love music, and my favorite band is NEEDTOBREATHE (I have all of their albums). I'm also a big fan of Breaking Benjamin, Lincoln Park, Adele, Zach Brown, and a good amount of other artsits. I'm an avid runner and I've been running cross country for four years and track for three. The 800m is my main event for track, and I went to state for the first time this past spring. My dad is an Agriculture teacher at Perry, and my mom is a Elementary School teacher. My sister also attends UGA as a senior. I have a family of around 42 to 45 people, two of which attend UGA with my sister and me. I've been raised in FFA, my dad being an ag teacher, which generally involves showing hogs (for 12 years), identifying plants (a hobby of mine), and learning how to construct electrical circuits. I hope to be an Oceanographic engineer one day, with a particular focus on adapting to global and local sea level changes. This is all stuff about me, but when it comes to who I am, I say I'm a child of God and a follower of Jesus Christ, the one who died and rose again to redeem His creation. And the fact that it's His creation is why it amazes me so.
