Clay Jennings

I'm Clay Jennings. Over the years, I've worked in a number of different capacities for a variety of financial services firms. I've traded stocks, researched companies, sold investment products and evaluated money managers. If there's a common thread to my experience, it is this: complexity exists in the way advice and products are pushed to investors, but most of it serves the financial industry at the expense of the investor. It's my goal with this blog to cut through this clutter and focus on the relatively few enduring concepts that lead to investing and financial success. Namely, develop an appropriate budget, keep investment costs low, be tax-efficient, understand your limitations, have a long term plan, and stick to it. The rest is generally needless, and expensive, complication.
