Clay Statmore

For over a decade, Clay Statmore has served as chief executive officer of Back to Books, Inc. of Dover, New Jersey. Statmore discovers new clients for the firm and develops its long-term strategies. An “online school bookstore,” Back to Books benefits academic centers, parents, and students by buying back textbooks, storing them, and reselling them at reduced costs. Prior to commencing his career, Statmore attended the University of Nebraska, earning a bachelor of science in business before going on to complete a juris doctor in its College of Law. For over 15 years, he practiced law in Lincoln and represented clients in a variety of legal matters, including appeals and bankruptcy.

Retiring from his law practice, Clay Statmore then relocated to the East Coast, where he served as a finance manager for Dun and Bradstreet, Inc., in New Providence, New Jersey. There, he oversaw a $35 million technology division before going on to found Back to Books, Inc.
