Clayton Imoo

Clay is HUSBAND to his lovely wife Gail. They were married on July 8, 2000 at St. Paul’s Parish in Richmond, BC, Canada. High school sweethearts since 1989, Gail was the one who introduced Clay to Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Clay is FATHER to sons Sean Isaiah and Jacob Isaac and daughter Kayla Marie. Sean was born on August 2, 2001, Jake was born on September 16, 2003, and Kayla was born on December 21, 2007. Clay is FRIEND to many; whether they are past schoolmates, ex co-workers, or brothers and sisters in Christ from the church community. While Clay loves to speak (see below), he is actually a better listener. Clay is a YOUTH MINISTER in the Catholic Church and presently serves as the Director of the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver. He has held this position since December 2002. Before that, he served as a parish youth minister for 9 years. Clay is a dynamic SPEAKER, and he brings passion, energy, and enthusiasm to his presentations. Whether it’s addressing teens at a youth rally, speaking to adults at an info meeting, or emceeing a wedding or special occasion, he is dedicated to giving no less than 100%. See some of his past and future speaking engagements here. What else? Clay graduated from Richmond Senior Secondary School and then obtained his Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting from UBC. After UBC, Clay did work in accounting, human resources, and financial planning, all the while serving as a parish youth ministry coordinator at St. Paul’s Parish in Richmond. After World Youth Day 2002 in Toronto, Clay obtained his current position as Director of the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, a role he considers his “dream job.” Although Clay has serious responsibilities, he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He loves to spend time with his family, play music (piano and drums), play sports (basketball and volleyball are his faves), play naptime, and write blogs. He loves serving the church and the people in it, and is motivated and inspired by the youth ministers, volunteers, and young people he encounters. He realized long time ago that he wasn’t cool, so he doesn’t bother trying to fake it. Anyone who has seen him dance or try to dress hip can attest to this.
