I started working with kids as a nanny when I was ten years old. Yes, that is young, but yes, I was amazingly responsible and really had a natural gift with children. I continued working as a nanny, family after family for 25 years. During that time I received a bachelor of art degree in human development and a master of science degree in clinical social work. I have also worked in a group home, in a pychiatric facility for children, in a school setting, and facilitating play therapy. Combining what I have learned by experience with what I have learned from studying research, I have become a professionally qualified "worker of wonder" with children of all ages! I am trained in play therapy, trauma treatment, grief, family counseling, and couple counseling- all in an effort to reach my lifelong goal to strengthen and support families.
