Holly DeLeon

Grand Prairie, Texas, United States

My name is Holly DeLeon, and I've been cleaning for a long time.

It started when I was a teenager. My mother and I worked for a small office in a small town doing janitorial work. I didn't realize it at the time, but the tasks we did there were helping me form the understanding of hard work and integrity.

A few years later I found myself in Kansas outside an Army base. My husband was a soldier stationed there and I babysat to earn extra money. However, a new opportunity came when a friend with a newborn asked me if I knew of any reputable companies to help her clean her house.

We had hired a local company a few months before to help clean our house when we moved into a new one. The situation was unpleasant, expensive, and one I certainly didn't want to pass off to my friend. So I told her no.

Later that night it occurred to me that I could clean my friend's house for less cost and better quality than she could hire a stranger to do; so I called her with my offer which she accepted. My cleaning career was on its way up!

Over the years after that, I started cleaning homes for people who lived on base. I did recurring care, move outs, and party clean up more than anything else during that time. After three years my husband was reassigned to Alaska. I began cleaning for people on base there, as well. I became pregnant with our second child and worked all the way until my eighth month when I finally decided to take time off.

I stayed home with the kids for a year. It was a great time and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to be with them. My husband was deployed so I came back to Texas to visit family. I cleaned while I was there too!

My husband has since finished his time in the Army and is now in college. I've been thinking about the things I love most with the first being my family, of course. I love my home; which is our sanctuary from the world. I love people, I love to be helpful, and I love to work.

All of these things have combined into what I am now: a wife to a husband I'm in love with; a mother to children that I'm so proud of; and a hard worker with a drive to help other people attain their own personal goals in home care which is so incredibly important to good health and peace of mind. I thank God every day that He gave me these gifts and the chance to share them with the world!
