Hi, my name is Clement, welcome to my page :)

The purpose of this page is to provide some information about myself as well as what i hope to help each student achieve.

Background:

I studied at Catholic Junior College for my A’level qualification. I am enrolled into a honours programme in Biological Science with a Business Minor at NTU and my official admission will be in academic year 2014.

I have 2 years of tutoring experience across all levels. Being patient, motivated and concept-driven, improvement in grades have been evident in most of the students who does the work.

I communicate with the parents about the progress of the student frequently and provide insightful suggestions on how to assist the student in learning more effectively based on their needs.

A tutor is not a miracle, students and most importantly, parents, have to be committed to the programme. Students who does the work will get the results they envision. "It takes two hands to clap" parents will be advised to follow the suggestions to complement and accelerate their child's learning capacity.

Other than providing academic assistance to students, i often spend time doing goal setting with them after lessons so that the students themselves can be self-motivated with a goal in mind. Students prefer to share opinions with me. It empowers me to guide them in the correct direction by providing insightful advice and suggestions to resolve some of their issues. It is very fulfilling to see a student mature in thinking because of the thought process i share.

I believe in after-session support as learning is a continuous process. Tutees are given the privilege to post questions they encounter in their respective academic subject via whatsapp. To fully utilize the power of new media, a Facebook Page <BELOW> has been set-up recently to cater to the need to post questions, answers as well as knowledge learnt in the process. This portal allows us to learn from one another and hence, empowering each student to take charge of their learning.
