OWUAMALAM, Clement Chinaza is a highly motivated, hardworking and responsible individual, with a drive towards community development and goal attainment. Born to the family of Prof & Barr Emman-Owums Owuamalam, he is Senior Manager at Image and Slogans Consultants Ltd and a former intern at National Information Technology Development Agency, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation and Transmission Company of Nigeria. He is equally a member of the British Computer Society, Nigeria Computer Society, Nigerian Society of Engineers, and Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. As an alumnus of Alliance Française Owerri, he is proficient in French.

Clement was a RYLA participant in 2015. He has served Rotaract as District 9140 Secretary during 2016-17 and pioneer District 9142 Rotary Foundation Chair during 2017-18; emerging Best District Officer of the year, back-to-back. In 2017, he convened the District 6900/9110 Friendship Fellowship in Atlanta during the Rotary International (RI) Convention. Clement also served as Rotaract Representative in the 2018-19 RI Rotaract Committee, where he coordinated the Translation project of the 2019 Hamburg Rotaract Preconvention. He was a member of the 2019-20 Rotaract Committee as well as the Elevate Rotaract Task Force. He is widely travelled and has coordinated service projects and trainings in the US, UK and across Africa.

Besides Rotaract, Clement has served as Deputy Speaker of a Childrens’ Parliament, State Representative at the Federal Ministry of Education Childrens’ Forum, three-time National Quiz Champion and president of five different service organisations including the Int’l Climate Champions of the British Council.

Clement is team-oriented and experienced in stimulating success among young people. He also enjoys transferring knowledge. His passion for The Rotary Foundation has inspired him to organise fundraisers in over 11 countries, for Polio eradication and other causes. He is also a recipient of the NR-MDIO National Merit Award, the Nigeria National Polio Plus Committee Outstanding Service Award and other recognitions.

Sir-Clem, as he is fondly called, is a Benefactor and Level-7 Paul Harris Fellow (PHF+6) of The Rotary Foundation. At his leisure, he enjoys running long distance races, playing badminton, travelling and spending time with friends. He is also interested in IT Security for sustainable development.
