Cleta Brown was born in Vancouver and raised in a well known political family. Her mother, Rosemary Brown. was a beloved politician in this city for many years. Until now, Cleta has followed her own footsteps, becoming a lawyer, working at the BC Ombudsman Office, practicing as Crown Counsel and sitting on the BC Review Board.

She is highly active as a volunteer in our city, from ground level to board level, in such organizations as the YWCA, MOSAIC, the Kidney Foundation, LEAF, and the University Women’s Club.
Cleta is married with 2 school aged sons, and resides in Kerrisdale. In her spare time, she enjoys piano, sports, reading, and is currently working on her singing voice.
