I am Lieutenant Clint Allen Lorance from Hobart, Oklahoma. I was a Police Explorer throughout my High School. After the first semester of my local community college, when the country prepared for an impending invasion into Iraq, I decided to help a nation preparing to shoulder two wars simultaneously and walked into the Army recruiting station in Greenville, Texas. I joined the Army as a Military Policeman. On April 15, 2003, I shipped off to Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO where I spent 17 weeks to learn how to be an Army MP.
My first duty assignment was in Pusan, South Korea. During my assignment, I was very active and earning several accolades from solider of the Month to NCO of the Quarter for the 8th MP Brigade. I also participate in many athletic events as well. Due to my full devotion to job and honesty, I was quickly promoted above my peers to Sergeant in just two years of service. I served the community as a Gunner, Driver, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Traffic Accident Investigator and D.A.R.E. School Resource Officer. On September 10, 2005, I left Korea bound for my next duty station in Fort Richardson, AK.
As part of the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Teamin Alaska, I organized for my first deployment to Iraq from September 2006 toNovember 2007. In July 2008, I left Alaska bound for Texas to become aCommissioned Officer. I was quite active in the American Red Cross DentonChapter and the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity while studying andparticipating in Army ROTC. And finally, on May 15, 2010, I became the firstperson in my family to graduate with a college degree, and subsequentlycommissioned as a second lieutenant in the Infantry of the Army. On 2012, I wasassigned to the 82nd Airborne Division's 4th BCT and deployed to Afghanistan toSouthern Afghanistan. During this deployment before becoming the platoonleader, I was the squadron's liason officer to the commander.was the squadron's liason officer to the commander.
