Cara MacNeil- Donoghue

Brick, NJ

After graduating with a 3.5 from The College of New Jersey in 2010 I spent a year working as a full-time wedding photographer. Previously, I had only done weddings part-time and I happily found a job teaching high school English and returned wedding photography to part-time status. Once I found my teaching job I remembered how much I liked being on the other side of the classroom and went back for my Master's in English with a focus on Shakespeare, gender theory and popular culture. I'm currently writing a thesis about the Henriad using Judith Butler and Louis Althusser.

In 2013 I was lucky enough to become a contributing writer and editor for The Calfornia Journal of Women Writers (TCJWW). This journal focuses on celebrating, analyzing and critiquing female writers to enhance their status in popular culture.

In 2014, I was published in BlackFox Literary Magazine and in 2015 I will be featured in a Dick Grayson collective titled "75 Years of Dick Grayson".
