Cloe Shasha Brooks is a writer, curator, and host.

She has been a TED Curator for over a decade, where she finds unique speakers for TED’s wide variety of programs. As a part of that role, she writes and edits TED Talks and coaches speakers on delivery in a range of fields, with an international focus on the humanities (and humor), including TED Democracy and social science programs. She has worked with over 500 TED speakers, diving deep into their research to help them develop their narrative arcs and communicate their ideas with clarity, nuance, and impact. Cloe also conducts interviews, hosts events, and runs TED's global idea searches. Cloe seeks to bring out our shared humanity among cultural and ideological differences. She cares deeply about providing a platform for powerful ideas from people who are humbly working to improve the world. Cloe grew up in New York City and Paris, and lives in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley with her spouse and daughter.
