Dr. James Scott was born and raised in Southern New Jersey. He was very active in sports such as baseball, basketball, football and martial arts through childhood and into college. He also excelled in bodybuilding and powerlifting. It was through powerlifting that he discovered chiropractic. Due to a gym incident in which he sustained a neck injury that nearly ended his powerlifting/bodybuilding career, he found that after several trips to the emergency room and medication did not help his neck pain. He went to a chiropractor that was suggested by a friend, and after a regimen of therapy and chiropractic adjustments, his pain was relieved and he was able to return to powerlifting and won his next two WNPF meets. With this experience, he decided he wanted to share chiropractic with others. He attended both Oral Roberts University and Life University in Marietta GA from where he graduated in 2002. He lives with his fiancée and their son in St. Cloud. He enjoys lifting weights, fishing and dancing salsa. He believes that effective communication as well as a caring touch speeds recovery. He prides himself in learning languages, the main ones being Spanish and Haitian Creole. In his 15 years of being a chiropractor, practicing in both Georgia and Florida, he has worked on the seriously injured, pro athletes and the weekend warrior.
