Clunes Landcare & Waterways Group

Clunes Landcare & Waterways Group is a passionate and committed group dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the local creeks and surrounding landscape of Clunes in Central Victoria.

After drastic changes and urgent clean up required to the Creswick Creek in Clunes during the 2010 and 2011 floods, this committed group of volunteers has worked tirelessly to enhance and protect the local waterways and environment.

The community group was originally a Committee of Management for the (then) Department of Sustainability & Environment, but branched off to become its own Landcare group in early 2014.

This relaxed, social group meets monthly to hold working bees along the creek, hosts workshops and events throughout the year and are strong advocates for the protection of local wildlife, landscape and waterways.
