Clyde McDaniel

My name is Clyde McDaniel and I’m disable veteran. I reside in Portsmouth, Virginia and I have four children and three grandchildren. I’m working towards starting my own record label and artist management company. I may adventure into the film industry as a hobby. Since I started taking my classes at Full Sail University, my love for films and movies has been constantly growing.
I attend Full Sail University and I’m enrolled in the Entertainment Business Bachelor Degree Program. I will be graduating in July 2014. After graduation, I’m looking to purse a career in gospel music and films. I’m currently working with a hip-hop artist but my heart is leaning more towards gospel. I may be looking at attending Full Sail Film Bachelor of Science Degree in the near future. Even though music is my true passion, film has begun to catch my eye and interest.
I started messing around with music as a hobby in 1996 and I’m still here today. I’ve made a lot of mistakes trying to start a business without the proper skills and know how. It has been a costly adventure for me but my heart has built a passion for it. In 2003, one of my artists had secured a record deal with major label and the label went under for some reason. At that point, I told myself that I could make a career of this if I put my heart and soul into it. I did and again it was a costly mistake. So I decided to take a break from it and search my heart to see if this was still my passion and I was I still passionate enough to commit myself to what I loved.
While studying at Full Sail I truly see that I was lost trying to get my music and entertainment career on the ground. My mistakes were costly but I learned from them. My mistakes lead me to Full Sail University. Another goal after school is to establish my Network Center for the Youth. It will be set up as a non-profit organization that will help maximize the potential of our youth. It will be a one-stop shop for all there recording needs. We will assist them in putting together their demo package, which would include artwork for CD, one sheet, marketing plan and recording session. The Network Center would assist youth in furthering their education in music and entertainment as a whole.
