I had the opportunity to travel around the world because of my medical tourism internship I had a few years back. I was able to visit depressed communities in Asia and Africa, including Laos, Bhutan, and Gabon. I'm a licensed nurse by profession but a writer and blogger by passion. When I am not attending to patients in a hospital in Chicago, I share my experiences on my blog. My blog focused on medical travel and tourism. This did not come as surprise as I was greatly moved and inspired with the experiences I went through when I volunteered in rural communities in Africa and Asia.
