Cynthia Martinez

I will graduate this May from The University of Oklahoma, where I am pursuing a B.A. in Journalism- Public Relations, and a B.A. in Communication. I arrived at OU in 2006 to participate in the anthropology program, but it soon became a minor. My class work ranges from film studies to an archaeological dig, east Asian studies, and even flying a plane. I love to learn and try new things because each learning experience is an adventure that opens up my eyes to a different part of the world! I am family-oriented and I am also involved with service to the community. My experiences have given me the ability to look at a problem from angles that others might not see. I am very methodical, so I can come up with multiple scenarios to move toward a solution. I am also a team player and I can quickly build on the ideas of others. I have been actively involved on campus and I look forward to being actively involved in the field of public relations after graduation.
