Besides his career committments Charlie is fond of jamming on his Fender American Strat with his friends or painting and sketching while travelling with his family. Have been inspired by Stefan Marjoram, Scott Robertson, Martin Squires and Rob Ijbema while trying to hone my drawing skills

Rangers F.C. is Charlie's team of choice back in his place of birth, Glasgow, Scotland. He also coached youth soccer in Ontario for a number of years.

Charlie loves Raspberry Pi, Youtube where he takes guitar lessons with Justin Sandercoe,Marty Swartz, Bobby Crispy, David Taub, keeping up with technology watching Tested , following Adam Savage and Still Untitled - The Adam Savage Project. If I could have done it over again I would have like to have worked on Lord of The Ring. Visited The Wetta Cave and Hobbiton in 2013.

Reading Chris Prillo's "The LockerGnome Daily Report" keeps Charlie up-to-date with technological change.

In his daily work Charlie is committed to helping students develop their interest in careers as Bentley Modellers and sits on an advisory board at a local technical college.

Top Gear is another one of Charlie's interests and he can be found on Youtube (scotrail1)doing an impersonation/take-off of the show from time to time.
