Chris Milton
Consultant, Small Business Owner, and Public Speaker in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
If you're here, you're probably looking for the details and the back story about me.
First, a proper introduction, I'm Chris Milton, a dad, husband, and all-around marketing nerd who loves great design. I've always been interested in business, although, I didn't formally realize it was business until after high school.
My first official job was working in retail learning everything I could about the gear I was always wearing on the basketball court. I started my first side hustle while at that job, and it was my crash course in online business, e-commerce to be exact.
I moved on from my first job and my couple of semesters of university to a totally different industry: food and beverage. It was similar principles for sales and marketing and that helped me get more exposure and work on bigger projects.
The next two years flipped me completely around. I met my wife, started a sports & entertainment company that failed after 2008 recession. I started working in e-commerce and then went back to finish my business degree.
Although the cards seems stacked against me, going back to school after being away from the classroom for 7 years, the timing could not have been better. I boosted my knowledge base, learned how to refine my skills and got my competitive drive back.
Leaving school with momentum on my side I partnered to launch a real estate marketing firm that quickly grew and was acquired right before our first daughter was born. Continuing with my entrepreneurial projects, I launched a full-service marketing company, focused mainly on sales funnels, social media and content marketing.
That formula for driving sales for clients is my sales & marketing foundation. Having a funnel that works online and off, in both B2C and B2B environments. This strategy needs to be the core of an organization's revenue model and can be supercharged with social media and content marketing :)
Enough of that self-promotion, let's chat about you. Let's connect.
