Caity O'Shaughnessy

London, England

From the first time I stepped inside of a theatre, I knew my life had changed. I had found something that I felt so connected to and so passionate about; it wasn't something that was going to fade away.

Making the decision in university towards a life out of what I loved most, I worked until I found a way in. After landing an Administrative Internship at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, I came back to volunteer as House Manager for the renoun production of Next to Normal, and was later offered to continue this job as a permanent paid position.

After this, I moved to Massachusetts for a House Manager position with Berkshire Theatre Group where I managed the Fitzpatrick Main Stage, a 408-seat theatre, led a larger staff and took on more responsibility. After the summer season, I was offered a full-time salaried position but declined after making the decision to move to London for a Masters in Management at the University of Westminster.

Currently in London completing my degree, I have been able to immerse myself within the West End Theatre. Reviewing on my own blog, as well as the popular West End Wilma, I am loving the opportunity to connect with so many productions.

I am incredibly lucky to be able to live out so many dreams of mine, but I also take complete credit for making it happen. My ambitions never fall, and I am driven to live a fulfilled life that I can look back on and be happy with.

So far, I think I'm doing pretty good.
