colleen murrell

Colleen grew up in London and Brussels and her first career was as a reporter, producer and news editor for companies including APTN, BBC and ITN. Since 1999 Colleen has been living in Melbourne where she is a senior lecturer at Deakin University. She teaches TV, Radio & International Journalism. She has a PhD in Media & Communications from The University of Melbourne & an MA in International Journalism from City University in London. She researches international newsgathering, has had articles published in a range of academic journals and her book on foreign correspondents and fixers will be published by Routledge Research in 2015.
