Chris Newman
I'm a 3rd-year pharmacy student from Roseman University in South Jordan, Utah. I'm a dependable, reliable worker who loves to improve efficiency wherever I'm at. For example, I designed new prescription transfer pads for the University of Utah Parkway Pharmacy, which decreased prescription transfer time and increased pharmacist availability to patients. As a medical records professional, I increased productivity 125% on the team by being an example and teaching others data entry best practices.
I'm an avid medical researcher who is always looking for new ideas and projects. I excel at time management: I worked 20+ hours a week while finishing my BS at Brigham Young University and staying at the top of my pharmacy school class academically.
I'm fluent in written and verbal Spanish (including medical Spanish) — one of my favorite ways to use the language is to be a translator for doctors and pharmacists to better improve patient experience among the Latino community.
Within the world of pharmacy, I enjoy cardiology, pediatrics, and emergency medicine the most.
I enjoy all things outdoors, including rock climbing, fishing, and camping. I love to read and watch movies with my wife and friends.
