Cindy Noland

Cindy entered the fray of feminist activism when the war on women began to be so-named in 2012. Attending the national Rally Against the War on Women, she saw the need for a faith voice to be present. As a Catholic woman, she had always compassionately understood the needs of women in diverse circumstances.

So later that year she founded Faith Action for Women in Need (FAWN), an interfaith/sans-faith group of activists that take faith-informed activist action in support of the needs of women and their families.

Cindy has appeared on local and national radio talk shows, and her FAWN actions have been covered on the news both locally and nationally. If you watch the documentary "She's Beautiful When She's Angry", you'll catch a glimpse of her being dragged out of the Texas House of Representatives Chamber, protesting a vote taken against women.

Cindy has worked closely with global organization Catholics for Choice, traveling as a speaker on the Catholic theological basis for a pro-choice position. She currently serves on the Advisory Council for Texas Freedom Network'sJust Texas: Faith Voices for Reproductive Justice. You're invited to visit her blog The Feminist Prophet.
