I work and live at a university located at the equator line in Uganda, and feel really fortunate to do what I love, which is teach, read, and travel.
It is difficult to describe myself because I am constantly evolving, although I suppose that in itself is a description too! I am always open to new ideas and new perspectives, and am always reaching for a new level of consciousness and experience; this is why I find such inspiration in reading, travel, and the possibility of meeting new people.
My current mission in life, however, is to have an impact on the Ugandan education system. The last two decades or so have been rough, and a lot of young people find themselves leaving school with inadequate numeric, literacy and problem solving skills. Something needs to be done, and I am trying, in my small way, to do something - this is mainly through public engagement, research and my teaching practice.
