My name is Karen Angelichio and I have been a Registered Nurse for over 35 years. While working in multiple specialties, inpatient/outpatient direct care, and management, I discovered I have a passion for travel medicine. I managed the Duke International Travel Clinic for almost 15 years. I officially retired in 2012, but decided to continue my career by working as an independent travel health nurse.
While working with the Duke International Travel Clinic, I provided direct services to high risk international travelers, developed related policies and procedures, helped develop content for the travel clinic website, trained multiple medical professionals in the specialty, and co-authored online educational wellness programs targeting international travelers. In addition, I have educated professionals, businesses, and interested groups in the community on important pre-travel measures to ensure a safe and healthy trip.
As Coach Karen, RN I am now offering my services independently to interested individuals, groups, or organizations in central North Carolina. I am also willing to travel, depending on the need of your group or organization.
