Coach Stephen

Hi! I am Coach Stephen, or some people just call me Coach. I teach tennis in the Hollywood, Hallandale Beach, and Dania Beach area.

A little bit about me. I was on the high school team for tennis in my junior days, and I was the number 2 singles player for my team. I played in a city tournament when I was 18 years old and finished in second place, only to lose to the number one player in the finals. I have a passion for sports and have been a big fan of tennis since I was a young kid. I have studied the games of Roger Federer, Bjorn Borg, Jimmy Connors, and Maria Sharapova.

I teach tennis to small groups of kids, but I also teach individual lessons as well - to kids and adults. I received training through the Professional Tennis Registry, and was certified through that organization.

I teach the various grips, the setup position, impact point, hitting zone, and recovery - for the various strokes: forehand, backhand, serve, volley and overhead smash. I also talk about tactics for doubles and singles. But most of all, I try to keep the tennis fun, interesting, and relevant for the customer - by tailoring the lessons to the students.
