Sylvia Coats

Background/Testimony

Minister Sylvia Coats, from Bell, Florida, left this areain 1987 to attend ORU where she met Vincent P. Coats while attending OralRoberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were married in May of 1988, and during the following fourteenyears had the opportunity to personally sit under many (and some renowned)bible teachers and preachers. Thoughthese teachers instilled many wonderful contributions to practices of wisdomand faith, the Lord has given Sylvia some unique insight and revelations in theWord of God—an approach to studying God's Word which utilizes the patterns ofsevens. When approaching God's Word fromthis perspective, it places scripture into its proper context and brings orderand understanding to the Word of God.

Ministers often use seven to delineate sermon points, andall understand it is God's perfect number of completion, however, few reallyunderstand the meaning of the order. Thepattern of seven and its correlation to spiritual interpretation is formulatedin the first book of Genesis through the days of creation. This revelation is one that is unending, yetunderstanding pattern will bring much peace and unify the divisions acrossdenominational lines as Christians learn how God has seven basic callings inHis body. These encompass the same seven Godly Spirits that watch over theseven churches in the Book of Revelation. Also, Christian growth is dispersed in seven levels that also accountfor many differences of opinions contributed to which level of maturity one hasattained in Christ. Just as a child doesnot think like an adult, neither does one who is spiritually mature think likea new-born. Sylvia contributes herrevelation knowledge to the especially hard times life brought her, times whenshe had to cling to the Lord for her help and dependency.

After leaving ORU in 1991, Sylvia and Vince attendedSchool of the Holy Spirit, in Tulsa, OK, where they were ordained for full-timeministry. Unknown to the pastor, thedate of Sylvia’s ordination fell on her birthday, June 10th. Thatwas not only the best birthday present ever received, it was also a turningpoint in Sylvia's life. At that time theLord began to deal with Vince and Sylvia to move back to her dad's home inFlorida where she had grown up. There, they planned to begin their ministry with home meetings. Since then, there have been many set-backsand many circumstances have risen to hinder and prevent this ministry fromcoming forth. However, God's Words willnot fail and the prophetic utterances that have been spoken over Sylvia andVince regarding their call and work have just begun in the North Florida area.

Their ministry is titled: Proclaiming HisGlory Ministries, and giving God the glory is the heart of what this ministrydoing as they share God's revelations from a non-denominational platform. This evangelistic effort is focused on: Helping the body of Christ Awakening peopleto the reality of His Spirit, and how to enter into His presence.

God's Word (the bible) can be understood if one lays theproper foundation to build thereupon. In1978, after being baptized in the Holy Ghost for one year, the Lord began toshow Sylvia the interpretation of His order of sevens that guide the events ofour lives. This understanding has grown and will amaze all who hear it.

Now is the time for this unique ministry to go forth asthe knowledge obtained from these spiritual leaders will help the rest of thebody of Christ to lay a foundation of understanding in God's Word as they sharethe “Keys of the Kingdom.” The insights and revelations of God's Word that havebeen received need to be shared with others and after 33-36 years ofpreparation and seeking God's truths, the Lord is asking Sylvia and Vince toshare what He has put on the inside of them. Now is the time to receive from the Lord that all may advance in morewisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God's Word and plan.
