Marjorie Bassey

Abuja

I was born and raised in Nigeria. I left home at an early age to study Pharmacy at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. After graduation in 2005 with a B.Pharm in Pharmacy, I went ahead to complete my internship and subsequently the National Youth Service Corps required of every Nigerian citizen.

I hold a Diploma in Ayurveda and Panchakarma Therapy and a Diploma in International Spa Therapy and Management from ISPAA Academy, Kerala, India.

I am a proud recipient of the Goldman Sachs' 10000 Women Initiative. I am a graduate from the Goldman Sachs-sponsored Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management class at the Pan-Atlantic University.

My various passions and strengths have helped me in acquiring experience in the past in fields such as NGO management, HR, Business Development and Marketing.

My interests include: Health & Wellness, Health Coaching, and non-profit management.

Currently I am Spa Director at Cevenés Spa and the C.E.O of Myrrh and Aloes Apothecary, an organic spa and beauty products brand.

I have been described in 3 words: Adventurous, Dedicated, and Dogged. I am way too ambitious than my peers. I love challenging situations because they help me think in a creative manner. I love languages. I communicate in English as a primary language, French at an intermediary level and Spanish at a beginner's level (self-taught).

Reading and listening to music are my preferred hobbies, and I always look for opportunities to learn something new. Continuous self-development is a priority for me.
