Cody Tappa
Hello and welcome!
My name is Cody Tappa, but you may have already figured that out by looking up two centimeters from this line. I'm an eighteen year old freshman in college, and am currently pursuing a degree in Video Game Programming at the University of Advancing Technology from the comfort of my own home in Northeastern Wisconsin.
I consider myself to be a passionate gamer who is fascinated in the art of coding. My interest in programming sparked during my high school years when I took my first introductory course as a sophomore. From there, I ended up excelling as a coder, and took the advanced course two years later. I couldn't get enough of it! I knew what I wanted to do the rest of my life, and thanks to UAT, my dream is slowly becoming a reality.
As far as my personality goes, I consider myself to be an introvert. I prefer to stick with a close circle of friends, and am typically shy when meeting new people. Ironically, I am known to be an outstanding public speaker. I don't get stage freight as most people do, and I feel comfortable and confident in front of big crowds. This skill may have developed after years of announcing at church. I follow the Catholic faith, and have done so my whole life.
Another fun fact about myself is that I'm a musician. Not professionally, mind you, but for seven years I've been a percussionist. Anything and everything percussion I have played at least once. Most of my skill is focused on drums, but I was also proficient at playing the xylophone/marimba/bells/vibraphone. Any barred instrument per se.
That's the gist of who I am. If I had the opportunity to say more, I would, but then this would start to drag on. To learn more about me as well as what goes on inside my head, check out my blog at wordpress.com!
