I'm Cody Gough, a podcast and digital media executive and award-winning producer. Among my accomplishments, most notably I spent more than a decade on-air at Chicago's WGN Radio, and later produced and hosted more than 1,000 episodes of Discovery's award-winning educational podcast, Curiosity Daily.
I'm a podcast professional specializing in audio programming and production. What sets me apart is that I'm a terrestrial radio professional AND a digital native with a social media marketing background. This means I can combine the radio industry's 100+ years of learnings with my digital content expertise to make superior podcasting strategies and content.
As an established radio veteran, I spent more than a decade producing and hosting shows on Chicago's prestigious 720 WGN Radio. There, I helped launch the WGN Plus podcast network, where I hosted their first and only dedicated video game podcast, Game/Life Balance U.S.
In addition to my broadcast experience, I have written for various outlets, including Curiosity.com, the GonnaGeek Network, and HuffPost. I'm also a graduate of several improv programs in Chicago (including the Second City Conservatory) and have written and performed for a variety of theater, film, and web productions, as well as industrial/commercial videos.
I also have a storied career as a social media marketer, managing online efforts for companies through start-up, marketing agency, and B2B consulting firm work environments. In these full-time roles, I have developed expertise in all areas of social media marketing, having developed and executed comprehensive social media strategies for a number of organizations (Kenmore, Craftsman, Head & Shoulders, New Balance, Kraft, Corona, Pacifico, LiftMaster, P&G, Omron, Subway, Nuveen Investments) across a variety of industries from concept to execution, and having trained hundreds of colleagues on optimizing their digital brands.
