Cody Jones is a singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. He began playing the Texas club circuit at the age of 16, toured the entire U.S by the age of 20, and is still capturing the attention of music fans across the country. In April of 2000, Cody released his first nationally recognized CD (Dying Incomplete) with his band Voodoo Poet, and signed his first independent record deal. The CD received rave reviews by fans as well as critics. Cody also signed a publishing deal as a nationally recognized songwriter for ASCAP in April of 2000. In November of 2005, Cody began pursuing his solo career as a singer/songwriter. His relentless touring and passion for writing and performing, has set a standard among many up and coming bands. Cody Jones writes real music for real people. “I pour my heart into every song I write,” says Cody “I’m driven by my life experiences, and that comes out in everything I have to offer in the music I play.” In 2008, Cody was nominated at the Austin Music Awards for best in Texas singer/songwriter. His latest EP, “Music Is Blood” was released digitally on iTunes in October 2009 on Power Ballad Records. Cody Jones was recently named one of the "Best Unsigned Artists" by UCLA Radio. Since moving to LA, Cody has performed at such legendary venues as Hotel Cafe, Viper Room, The Whisky A Go Go, Roxy and many others.
