CODY WEATHERSBY 魏凯

Cody Weathersby is currently enrolled in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. He attended the Defense Language Institute and studied Mandarin Chinese while serving in the United States Air Force. Cody Weathersby is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in International Business. His current Texas Tech GPA is 3.9. Cody spent two years at the Defense Language Institute studying Mandarin Chinese and through tutoring fellow service men and women, organizing and leading moral boosting events, helped guide hundreds of other service members from all branches to the ultimate goal: fluency in our target language and graduation from the Defense Language Institute. After leaving the Air Force, Cody continued to show leadership and work ethic. In January 2012, Cody began attending the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. In Lubbock he also began working at Haverty's Furniture Store as a merchandise handler. There he has implemented a voluntary recycling program for all employees of the Lubbock store, setting up multiple locations for employees to place recyclables and facilitate a positive change. At Texas Tech, Cody is working to improve his Chinese level of proficiency. He is concidered by others as very outgoing, taking every opportunity to practice his Chinses speaking and listening capabilities.
