Cole Diamond

Hi, I’m Cole Diamond, a serial entrepreneur as well as an early-stage business investor. Most people know me as the CEO & co-founder of Coinsquare, Canada’s leading cryptocurrency exchange. During my time as Coinsquare’s CEO, the company raised over $100M and went on to become the first crypto focused broker-dealer and marketplace, registered with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). I am also the co-founder of Tetra Trust, Canada’s first qualified custodian for digital assets. In 2019, I received the honour of being named Canada’s top Tech Entrepreneur by the Digital Finance Institute, a think tank focusing on technology, financial innovation, and regulation.

Outside the world of cryptocurrency, I’ve ventured into several other industries. I’m the controlling shareholder of Ghost Kitchens International, an innovative company helping to revolutionize the food delivery market.

In hospitality, I’ve co-founded and remain the largest shareholder of Vela, one of Toronto’s top-rated fine-dining restaurants. I’m also a leading investor and director of Stella, a high-end Italian restaurant located in Los Angeles.

As an investor and business mentor, I’m always eager to invest in entrepreneurs with ideas for innovative startups. In the past, I’ve backed businesses like OneLocal, Big Digital, KEEP, and RocketEV.

Alongside these ventures, I’ve developed a thriving real estate portfolio, investing in properties wherever I see potential.

My career has been defined by taking on big challenges and big risks, whether it’s disrupting the shopping, food service, or personal vehicle industries, or fostering the next wave of entrepreneurs. My newest venture, called Trade In, is an exciting company currently ramping up operations and set to debut in the tech space in 2025.
