My name is Cole Brown. I began wakeboarding when I was 10 years old. I got into it by a couple of friends who just got a wakeboard and were trying to figure out how to ride it. Once I got up I was hooked. After some convincing, my parents allowed me to get one and I began riding more often. Once I got the hang of it, I started to get bored with just riding around so I started watching videos on YouTube and tried doing a few jumps. After some hard wipeouts and bad attitudes, I finally got it down. I then started trying tricks and was super stoked when I landed my first few. That is when I decided, for some crazy reason, that I should ride in a tournament. I entered a tournament and came in dead last. I hate losing in anything so I knew something had to change. I stared riding more and trying more tricks until I started winning. When I came to UGA, I started riding with a few guys who were on the wakeboarding team here. They convinced me to join the team and start riding in tournaments with them. We now travel all over the Southeastern United States and compete against other colleges in wakeboarding tournaments.
