Cole Buchman
Cole Buchman has served in the information technology (IT) field since 1992. With almost two decades of experience in IT, and nearly 10 years with Salesforce.com, Inc., Cole Buchman acquired expertise in a wide variety of IT-related fields, including business intelligence software, CRM (customer relationship management) software, database administration, networking, and enterprise servers. After graduating from the University of Maryland in College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Cole Buchman went to work for Informix Software, a leader in database management that was acquired by IBM in 2001. Cole Buchman left Informix Software in 1997 and took a position at MicroStrategy, Inc. as a Channel Sales Manager. A leading developer of business intelligence software, MicroStrategy, Inc. serves millions of clients worldwide. Cole Buchman’s responsibilities for the company included selling Enterprise business intelligence (BI) solutions and managing global and regional independent software vendor (ISV) partnerships for the southeastern region of the United States. Cole Buchman maintained an outstanding sales performance during this period; in 1998, he surpassed his $2 million sales quota by 125 percent. He also exceeded his $3 million sales quotas in 1999 and 2000 and earned the Indirect Channel MVP award for the first quarter of sales in 2001. Quaero Solutions Group employed Cole Buchman as a Vice President of Strategic Alliances from 2002 through 2005. At Quaero, Cole Buchman supervised joint sales projects with software vendors such as Informatica Corporation; SAS Institute, Inc.; Unica Corporation; Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP); and Aprima Medical Software, Inc. He used his sales skills to generate $3 million in new business for Quaero in 2003, which accounted for 40 percent of the company’s revenue for that year. In 2005, Cole Buchman cofounded KnewVantage in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. A Salesforce.com, Inc. partner, KnewVantage develops CRM solutions for real estate firms. At KnewVantage, Cole Buchman designed and developed the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) solution Cumulus, a software application that helps realtors improve their profits. Cole Buchman sold his ownership of KnewVantage in 2009, and he currently works as a Sales Director for ClickEquations, Inc.
