Joseph Coleman

I was born and raised in Columbia, SC where I attended public schools. After I graduated from AC Flora in 1966, I attended the University of South Carolina but joined the US Coast Guard in 1968 and served until 1972. In January 1972, I entered The Citadel and graduated in May 1975 with a BA in history. I then began a career as a mortgage banker at South Carolina National Bank and spent 18 years in mortgage banking. Then after a second career as a real estate broker, I began a third career as an educator and taugh middle school history in the public schools and internationally. In 2008, I earned a MA in Education and in 2013 I earned a MA in military history. Presently, I am doing some writing and research.
