Coleman Ledbetter

Coleman Ledbetter was born in Waller, Texas, and grew up on a horse ranch close to his grandparents. Life there provided him with a steady rhythm of chores, fishing, and exploring the outdoors, which shaped his character and fostered his appreciation for simple living. The small-town lessons of honesty, hard work, and community became a foundation that continues to guide him in school, work, and personal life.

Coleman graduated from Waller High School in 2021 and began his studies at Texas Tech, later transferring to South Plains College. He expects to finish his degree in 2026 and plans to pursue a career as an electrician. For him, education is about developing practical skills that provide independence and stability while still leaving room for creativity.

Music has been part of his life since childhood, when family gatherings often included guitars and singing. Over time, he developed his own style, writing songs, singing, and playing guitar in a way that naturally connects with country music. He has performed live in Lubbock, including at Bashas, a place known for giving opportunities to new musicians. Writing and performing give him a meaningful outlet for expression and connection.

Outside of school and music, Coleman spends much of his time outdoors. Fishing, hunting, and surfing are regular parts of his life. Growing up in Texas instilled in him a love for wide-open spaces, and his time in Costa Rica introduced him to surfing, which remains one of his favorite activities.

Work experience has also been significant. At Epic Energy, he worked as a construction assistant, gaining firsthand knowledge of demanding job sites and the importance of teamwork. He also helps manage his family’s rental properties in Costa Rica and Lubbock, building responsibility and practical skills. Volunteer work has added another layer, with mission trips and nonprofit projects focused on service and community improvement.

Family and friends are central to his life, along with his dog, Lola, who is always by his side. Balancing school, music, work, and time outdoors, Coleman Creed Ledbetter continues to move forward with determination, staying true to the values that shaped him.
