You could be wondering why I have a photo from my High School's last pep rally from senior year? Well these guys in the photo with me became some of my closest friends over a year. We tried out for our student hype squad called the Scotsman and we would travel to every football game and run the flags with our high school initials across the field. But going into the year I didn't know what to expect.

Chas, Will, Grayson, and Luke all were a part of different friend groups and only had crossed paths rarely. I think we were pretty apprehensive going into it due to the unfamiliarity between us. But we soon realized that this was going to be a brotherhood that would last forever. The night before our first pep rally we went to get dinner and started to talk to each other, discuss our likes and dislikes, talk about sports, and especially make each other laugh our butts off. Later in the night, I expressed that I was very nervous going into the pep rally but they all assured me that we were gonna kill it and we would be the best Scotsman the school had ever seen.

After the first pep rally everything blurred together. When people say time flies when you're having fun is something I really took to heart throughout my senior year. I look back at a year full of highs and lows, but something that will always stick with me would be running into our gymnasium waving our flags into a cheering crowd and feeling like you were on top of the world. Sadly, most of us have gone our separate ways (except Chas who is going to UGA) but we all know that our friendship will last forever.
