Colette Rodriguez

I'm recently a new mother and I currently own and operate my mobile fashion boutique; which I sell woman's clothing and accessories. My business is primarily located in Los Alamos; however I occationally run the boutique in Albuquerque. I am always working and inspired to create new ideas.

Born and raised in Santa Fe New Mexico, art has always influenced my life. My passion for costuming and fashion came early on. I had my first and worst experience on a sewing machine at age 6; however that didn't stop me. I went on to earn a bachelors degree in Fashion/Costume Design from The Art Institute of California - San Francisco. Shortly thereafter I was hired by Guess Inc? as a technical designer. My skills for draping, tailoring, and alterations advanced. I went on to further my career at Guess Inc? in Product Development; where I was exposed to dye houses, overseas manufacturing, and the overall production process.

I've had many opportunities to work with amazing designers and creative environments. I've had great mentors who believed in my abilities. I find fulfillment in exceeding expectations and exploring innovation. I recently experienced a life long dream. I worked in the costume house of the Santa Fe Opera for the 2013 season. This was a very challenging yet rewarding experience for my person growth.

My ambition and willingness to achieve success has played a major role in my life and will continue to fuel my fire. My next proposed dream is to work in the film industry. I have worked and made costumes as a hobbie for over 10 year but It is my end goal to work professionally. I am certified and registered on the over flow list for the 480. 2014 will be the year.
