Strength, passion and determination are probably the three best words that describe me. As an over 20-year veteran officer in the U.S. Army, CrossFit Level 1 Coach and Well & Company Guide, I understand the absolute importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and I’m passionately driven to educate others in that same understanding. For me, the goal is to not just help my clients feel better, but to also help them live better and to maximize their performance in any endeavor, whether physical or mental. My passion for helping individuals and families begin their journey towards a healthier lifestyle began during my deployment to Afghanistan, where I became a “born again” fitness enthusiast after being introduced to CrossFIt. I strongly believe that wellness is not a singular “event” or goal a person works towards one time. Rather, it is a daily way of thinking and lifestyle that pushes and encourages a healthier life for individuals and loved ones. Living 4 The Health Of It’s focus is to educate others that it is actually okay to focus on one’s self, which can, at times, seem like a selfish motivation for others. However, my program clearly demonstrates that self-care is in fact the very best tool when it comes to inspiring others to also seek healthier lifestyles. Research shows, people are naturally drawn to others who are successful, healthy and happy, so why not start with yourself? My message to every client is to live each day with intention, and to begin each day with mindful movement. Focusing on building a healthy body is the first step, but I always stress the importance of taking time for mindfulness and meditation. Through this, Living 4 The Health Of It is actually a form of social activism, as those who utilize it move into a relationship with something bigger than themselves, and encourages and uplifts others seeking a better lifestyle. With Living 4 The Health Of It, there is no “selling” anyone on a particular program or product. My vision is to inspire others and to simply share their energy and excitement for healthier living, and I live each day with the conviction that my work is more than necessary, especially in a time when humans are living with record levels of obesity and other man-made ailments which are severely stunting the healthy development of future generations. I hold a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Cameron University, and an MBA with a concentration in management from
