It was the 7th grade talent show where I sat in the audience, impatiently tapping my foot waiting to get home to play my video games and continue to waste my life away as I shoveled down disgusting garbage down my gullet. Music seemed incredibly pointless as there was no visual with the sound, making music annoying to my temporary state of mind. Suddenly, an 8th grade band played an awful version of Back in Black by AC/DC (which now I realize was incredibly awful, but with my lack of musical taste was incredible) truly changing my view on music and realizing it was the greatest thing on the planet and I realized this was something I craved, the thrill of being accepted through the path of a rock star. After I started to get accepted for my musical gift, I realized music wasn't about fame, but about creation and a fusion of emotions. So I started my musical journey in the classic rock age, moving to the blues and jazz, then into ska, and now into metal. All of these genres I still hold dear to and embrace them as I move to the next chapter of my musical career. Expanding my musical boundaries never ceases and I will continue to be a slave to music.
