I have been writing since I first put pencil to that widely lined paper they give you in kindergarten. I've worked with writers for 20 years as an editor, desktop publisher, and instructor; and I've taught all kinds of writing, including academic and technical. I specialized in writer's block and writing apprehension for my Master's, and my Doctorate is in Rhetoric and Composition.
I love Ancient Greek history, and always have. In fact, my first two goldfish were named Agamemnon and Clytemnestra, and they got along about as well as their historical forbears. I'm writing a murder mystery set in Ancient Athens because my second love is a good murder mystery.
I started The Collaborative Writer, its forum, website, and free online courses because I am dedicated to the idea that everyone who wants to write must feel free to do so. If you were raised to believe that only certain people are "born writers" and that doesn't include *you*, then you're the person I want to reach with this message. We're all capable of being creative; writing doesn't belong to a few anointed Authors.
You can be a writer. You just have to believe in yourself. That's where having someone to collaborate with is crucial.
Take a look at collaborative-writer.com and know that you can, and will, write. You just have to get started, and you have to believe in yourself!
