Colleen Fitz

I am a recent graduate of the Technical Writing Graduate Certificate Program at Algonquin College who is passionate about communication and writing. I also have a B.A. in English Literature from Trent University, and a Masters of Education from the University of Ottawa.

During my studies at Algonquin College, I was able to produce multiple forms of technical documentation, ranging from technical descriptions and proposals to white papers and instructional sets. I worked closely with colleagues to research, plan, create, and present technical content, and participated in a collaborative project with mechanical and electrical engineering students.

Over the course of the Technical Writing Program, I had the opportunity to learn authoring tools frequently used in the field. This software includes: MadCap Flare, Adobe Acrobat XI, FrameMaker 12, RoboHelp, Camtasia Studio 8, Captivate 8, and WordPress.
