Colleen Beazley

I am a former elementary teacher and a current first-time mom to an amazing daughter who happens to have an extra chromosome. My husband's job brought us a long way from home. We moved from Chicago to our new home in Rome, Italy in 2010. The day before we moved we found out we were expecting our firstborn. Anne Kathleen Beazley was born April 1, 2011 in Rome. Thousands of miles from her parents' families. She was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at birth. A lot of new all at once.
