Colleen Butler

Cherry Hill, New Jersey, United States

Born October 11th 1992 at our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. My mother Kathleen Butler is a nurse and my father Gary Butler a scientist and teacher. I was blessed to be brought up in a good home and taught the real values of life. I grew up my whole life in Cherry Hill, NJ and went to Kilmer Elementary school, Rosa middle school, and West high school. I was a cheerleader for many years in middle school and continuing in high school which lead me to become a dancer at a junior level for Philadelphia teams such as, the eagles, the souls, the 76ers, the flyers and local college football teams. This was an exciting and exuberating experience which I thoroughly enjoyed meeting new and interesting people. I was always interested in art since I was young, pottery, crafting, wood burning, weaving and drawing. It was a relaxing hobby which I became extremely good at and hope to make it into a second career someday. I want to be a veterinarian technician because I love being with animals. I did a lot of volunteering at animal shelters and realized how much I want to help and care for animals. I am now going to Camden county college starting my basic classes working toward getting accepted into the veterinarian technician program. I’m currently working at Villa La Paws in Maple Shade NJ which is a doggy day care and boarding facility where I care for dogs and learning other skills that I can take forward in the veterinary technician field.
