I am a Global Health Researcher and Social Epidemiologist- aka- a person who studies patterns of health and illness in populations as they relate to social and societal factors. Mainly right now I am studying health and disadvantage in kids, especially those in rural and remote settings, in the Canadian north and other places where macro-environmental change is happening at a really rapid pace (like Mongolia and Lebanon). This picture is from my home community in Cape Breton. It is a visual metaphor for knowledge translation- something I think a lot about. Contact me if you want to know more.
