Colleen Kennedy

I am a senior at the University of Iowa, studying journalism and communication studies. I'm interested in working in public relations or corporate communications when I graduate in May 2012.

I am currently working as the Public Relations and Communications intern for The Iowa City Community School District. Some of my projects include creating a weekly newsletter, updating web content, and creating brochures. I also serve as the Director of Public Relations for the Tau chapter of Delta Gamma sorority and am involved in PRSSA.

Previously, I spent three months interning in the Corporate Communications department at Tellabs and worked on projects such as news releases, fact sheets, intranet articles and media pitches. Additionally, I have worked as a Metro Reporter at The Daily Iowan.
